I believe it has a nitro finish, but I’m not 100% sure about that. The tuners are similar to late 60's and 70's tuners, 3l/3r. Did they made soooo many of those plates in the 50's and used them until the 70's? Did they made new plates in the 70's and just used an other serial system?

Here are just some thoughts, what do you think? The chrome plate with serial number looks exactly like the ones on the old 1955 Champ lap steels. Serial number at the bridge is 8580 which you could mean is from 1955. One potentiometer is replaced, the other tells me 1965 if i read correctly?

They changed from staggered to flat about late '74 right? The problem is that the last number from the stamped date is unreadable Pickup is a gray bobbin Strat pickup with flat pole pieces.
